Submit Written Testimony to Support Senate Bill 42
Oregon’s Vaccine Access Program (VAP) is absolutely critical to the health of Oregonians, and right now it is at risk of being significantly underfunded. This kind of massive reduction – currently estimated to be 65-70% of enrolled clinics – will threaten vaccine access statewide and particularly for low-income populations, rural communities, and historically marginalized groups.
Senate Bill 42 would save this critical program. The bill allocates the funding necessary to continue the program and enroll the current waitlist. This bill can have a huge impact on vaccine access - and so can you!
We need advocates to submit written testimony and contact their legislators to support this bill. Take three quick steps to support vaccine access:

It's important to show as much support as possible through written testimony. The hearing is scheduled for March 25th at 3:00pm and all written testimony will be due 48 hours after the hearing!
To Submit Written Testimony
Navigate to the Bill’s Testimony Submit Page.
Make sure the correct committee is selected from the drop-down menu (Senate Committe on Health Care), and choose the meeting date of the bill’s public hearing. (March 25th, 2025 at 3:00 PM)
Select the bill you’d like to submit testimony for (Senate Bill 42)
When the contact information form comes up, enter your information and for "Position on this bill" select "support"
Submit a text testimony or upload a PDF.
Click "I'm not a robot" and then "Submit Testimony"
Written testimony is due by 3pm on Thursday, March 27th.
